Yellow Ribbon Program

Harvard Divinity School is pleased to announce its participation in the Post 9/11 GI Bill Yellow Ribbon Program. The Yellow Ribbon Program provides additional financial assistance to those veterans who qualify for 100 percent of Post-9/11 GI Bill educational benefits. For the 2016–17 academic year, HDS will provide up to 10 veterans scholarship assistance in the amount of $5,000, which will be matched by the federal government for a total assistance amount of $10,000. Participation is limited to 10 veterans and VA regulations stipulate that assistance must be provided on a first-come first-served basis. For the 2016–17 academic year, HDS will begin accepting applications for Yellow Ribbon on June 1, 2016.

If an applicant receives scholarship assistance from HDS, $5,000 of this scholarship amount will be designated as the Yellow Ribbon match.

An application for Yellow Ribbon will consist of the submission of a Notice of Enrollment Form available from the Office of Financial Aid and a copy of your VA Certificate of eligibility. We cannot accept application materials submitted prior to June 1.

HDS Voices

Alex Ramos

When I came to HDS I worried about how I would fit in as an atheist and Humanist. I found that this is a place of incredible tolerance and interest in stepping beyond the familiar. I gained a deeper appreciation for people with views radically different from my own, and helped others to do the same.
