Yellow Ribbon Program

Harvard Divinity School is pleased to announce its participation in the Post 9/11 GI Bill Yellow Ribbon Program. The Yellow Ribbon Program provides additional financial assistance to those veterans who qualify for 100 percent of Post-9/11 GI Bill educational benefits. For the 2017–18 academic year, HDS will provide scholarship assistance in the amount of up to $5,000, which will be matched by the federal government for a total assistance amount of up to $10,000. For the 2017–18 academic year, HDS will begin accepting applications for Yellow Ribbon on June 1, 2017.

If an applicant receives scholarship assistance from HDS, $5,000 of this scholarship amount will be designated as the Yellow Ribbon match.

An application for Yellow Ribbon will consist of the submission of a Notice of Enrollment Form available from the Office of Financial Aid and a copy of your VA Certificate of eligibility. The certificate of eligibility can take some time to receive so students should start the process of requesting the form once they make an enrollment decision. We cannot accept application materials submitted prior to June 1.

I think all art struggles with the same problem that any form of discursive, scientific, or explanatory writing struggles with, namely, how much is being illuminated by the work, and how much is being obscured, betrayed, or left in the dark. It's very difficult to work out when the right balance has been struck.
