International Students

Andover Harvard Theological Library

The HDS Office of Student Life recognizes the challenges international students experience when becoming acquainted with a new country, culture, and lifestyle, as well as the adjustments associated with a new academic environment. The Office of Student Life seeks to make these transitions as smooth as possible. All international students are encouraged to connect with the Office of Student Life at studentlife@hds.harvard.edu.

It is also extremely important that all international students register with the Harvard University International Office. Visit their website for useful advice and information. The HDS liaison in the International Office is:

Laura S. Nasrallah
I think that certain sectors of the academy are surprised that religion hasn't died out. Everyone's noticing that religious discourse is actually alive and well, and violently affecting politics. There's a new urgency to learning about and discussing religion. We need to be able to respect the fact that people who have deeply held convictions and practices might speak in terms that don't match ours.
—Laura S. Nasrallah, Professor of New Testament and Early Christianity
