HDS IT and Media Services provides computers for office use by faculty and staff. For personal purchases, Harvard offers significant discounts on both hardware and software for University affiliates.
HDS IT and Media Services staff cannot perform any service to student-owned computers or other devices. Insurance policies and other concerns prevent us from even troubleshooting the most basic problems with student-owned machines.
Fortunately, Harvard has partnered with two local businesses, Computer Loft and Tech Computers Inc., to provide laptop and desktop warranty and non-warranty repairs and upgrades for Apple, Lenovo, and Dell computers that are personally owned by Harvard students, faculty, and staff.
