Cameron Partridge

Counselor to Episcopal/Anglican Students

  • MDiv, Harvard Divinity School
  • STM, Yale Divinity School
  • ThD, Harvard Divinity School

Originally from Berkeley, California, Cameron Partridge is an ordained priest in the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts and is the Episcopal Chaplain at Boston University.

Between his MDiv and ThD, Partridge worked as part of a mobile homeless outreach team in a local anti-poverty agency. Between 2005 and 2010, he served in urban congregational settings, working with young adults, and focusing upon issues of poverty, sexuality, and gender. For several years Partridge also participated in the ongoing conversations in The Episcopal Church and across the Anglican Communion on gender and sexuality, bringing a transgender perspective into the mix.

Partridge's academic work centers on the intersection between studies of sex, gender, and sexuality and the study of religion, focusing particularly upon shifting conceptions of embodiment and sexual difference in Christian thought.
