On-Campus Opportunities

Planning a visit to HDS? We are delighted to introduce you to our community. During the academic year, we offer regular information sessions, class visits, and campus tours. See below for more detailed activity descriptions. Please peruse our academic year visit schedule to determine the best weekdays to visit our campus. Note that class visit offerings vary from day to day.

Information sessions

This hour-long small group session led by a HDS Admissions representative will provide prospective applicants with important information about our academic programs, application process, and community and spiritual life. Information sessions are not evaluative interviews and are not required as part of the admissions process. To sign up for an information session, register for a campus visit.

Class visit

Offered during the academic year, class visits provide prospective students with first-hand experience of academic life at HDS. The prospective students may visit the same class a maximum of two times each term. Please plan to arrive early and to stay for the entire duration of the class. To express your interest in attending an HDS class, register for a campus visit.

Campus tour

Offered during the academic calendar year, these campus tours led by current HDS students give prospective students an opportunity to get a sense of campus life at HDS. These sessions are open to all visitors to HDS and their guests. To sign up for a campus tour, register for a campus visit.

Phone appointments

This 30-minute phone conversation hosted by a HDS representative provides an opportunity for those applicants who are unable to meet us on the road or visit our campus to learn more about our academic programs, application process, and community and spiritual life. View schedule of phone appointments

Theological Education Day open house

Theological Education Day, our day-long open house event for prospective students, is an exciting opportunity to directly connect with Harvard Divinity School's faculty, students, staff, and denominational counselors. Participants learn about academic and community life, financial aid, and the admissions process.

Diversity and Explorations Program

The Diversity and Explorations Program (DivEx) is a three-day introduction to HDS for college undergraduates who have a commitment to diversity and social justice and are considering careers in ministry or other fields in which the study of religion, theology, and ethics would be an asset. Learn more about DivEx
