It was during the MDiv program at Harvard and time spent completing field education at Tufts that Priya Rakkhit Sraman, MDiv '17, became interested in working as a college chaplain. “I think that’s when I found meaning and purpose in everything I was doing. Up until that point I was a student; then, for the first time, I was like a teacher sharing the ‘data collection’ I’d been accumulating my whole life.”

3 Latter-Day Saints Graduate from the Air Force Chaplain Corps College in Alabama

A trio of Latter-day Saints, including 1st Lt. Jenna Carson, MDiv '18, graduated February 3 from the Air Force Chaplain Corps College at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, Alabama. Completing the required four-week Chaplain Corps College course means they are now eligible to be deployed anywhere in the world.

Francesca Rubinson, MDiv '24, and a Tufts alumna, was recently announced as the graduate student intern at the Tufts University Chaplaincy for 2022. Rubinson studies Judaism through feminist and queer lenses and plans to serve as a resource for Tufts students while also developing her own skills in multifaith chaplaincy.
