Andrew Jacobs, Lecturer on Early Christianity for Fall 2019, has taught at the University of California, Riverside, and Scripps College. A scholar of early Christian cultures and difference, he has published Remains of the Jews: The Holy Land and Christian Empire in Late Antiquity (Stanford, 2003); Christ Circumcised: A Study in Early Christian History and Difference (University of Pennsylvania Press, 2012); and Epiphanius of Cyprus: A Cultural Biography of Late Antiquity (University of California, 2016), which won the Philip Schaff Book Prize from the American Society of Church History.
