Students using Office 365 for email (i.e., students who began their HDS studies in Fall 2017 or later) should go to to access the Office 365 client.

Students with Harvard-Google accounts (i.e., students who began their HDS studies before Fall 2017) may access their Harvard email accounts at The extensive Gmail Help Center provides information on student email account features, including synching with email clients and mobile devices.

To reset the password on a student email account, contact the Harvard University Information Technology Service Desk at 617.495.7777. Password reset requests can only be performed via phone during normal Service Desk business hours, Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 6 pm. Students requesting password resets will need to verify their identity with the Service Desk technician by answering a series of questions.
