Profile

Amy L. Fisher is the Director of the Interfaith Center and the University chaplain at Suffolk University in Boston. She is an ordained elder in the Tennessee Conference of the United Methodist Church. Amy has served as interim minister at Waterville Union Church in Vermont and as college chaplain at Union College in Kentucky. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1986 from Birmingham-Southern College in Alabama, a Master of Divinity in 1989 (in World Religions) from Vanderbilt University, and a Master of Theology in 1993 (in New Testament) from Emory University. The Interfaith Center supports religious life and events for all students, staff, and faculty at Suffolk University. Amy defines religion as an orientation toward life and includes religious “nones”, humanists, and the “spiritual” among others in this wide classification.
