Profile

Regina Laba Walton is an Episcopal priest, scholar, and poet as well as an HDS alum. She has served four congregations in the greater Boston area over the last twenty years. Her book of poems, The Yearning Life, won the inaugural Phyllis Tickle Prize in Poetry, and was published by Paraclete Press in 2016. She has also published academic articles on early modern religion and literature, and is currently the poetry editor of the Anglican Theological Review. In addition to Anglican/Episcopal polity, her courses at HDS include Liturgical Theology, Devotional Poetry in English, Spiritual Formation in Community, and Christian Simplicity. She writes, "I love helping students navigate the twists and turns of vocational discernment, and also creating opportunities to reflect on challenges facing the church in this time and place." She enjoys playing the fiddle and mandolin, quilting, and rooting for the Red Sox.
