How I've Changed

I have become a lot more grateful for beauty in the everyday!

Memorable Moment

Making lifelong friends and soul sisters in Emily Chaudhari and Prabhroop Chawla, as well as being in community with so many inspiring, wonderful folks!

Favorite Class or Professor

So many! But to name three: Professor Ali Asani's class on the "Devotional Literatures of South Asia," for teaching me about the concept of "rasa" in South Asian poetics, an honoring of how our life experiences/emotions are the juice that unlock new interpretations and understandings in our experiences of art.

Professor Regina Walton's class on "English Devotional Poetry," for introducing me to George Herbert, a now-favorite in whom I've found continued companionship and beauty.

Finally, Professor Davíd Carrasco, for introducing me to Charles Long's definition of religion as an orientation and providing the space and encouragement for me to explore my love of trees through the works of Toni Morrison.

Future Plans

I'm really excited and grateful to be teaching eighth-grade English at Belmont Day School nearby next year. I can't wait to learn and reflect, create and wonder, alongside my favorite kind of humans—middle schoolers!
