HDS communications reached out to our 2022 graduating students to hear from them in their own words about their experiences at HDS, the people who've helped and inspired them along their grad school journeys, and their plans for the future.

How I've Changed

I know how to survive a plague.

Memorable Moment

Gathering with a small, heartfelt ritual circle in front of Divinity Hall the week before campus closed in spring 2020.

Favorite Class or Professor

Any of Dan McKanan's classes.

Message of Thanks

HUUMS students, past and present. The warm and kind third-year MDivs, especially my CPE buddies, Cody & Manato. My home congregation First UU Nashville and its former minister Rev. Gail Seavey for inspiring me to come here.

What I Hope to Be Remembered By

Being a friendly troublemaker.

Future Plans

Backpacking Europe this summer, then a UU ministerial internship in Minneapolis. Hopefully, I'll be ordained next year and settle in a congregation!
